Panang Beef

Panang curry dishes are dryer than red, green, or yellow.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup beef steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup large diced red Bell pepper
  • 2 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp Panang curry paste
  • 1 ½ tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweetener
  • 2 tbsp roasted peanuts
  • 3 fresh Thai chili peppers

Procedure:

  1. Crush the peanuts in a mortar and pestle
  2. Set aside 3 tbsp of the coconut milk
  3. Heat the remaining milk until oil comes to the surface.
  4. Add curry paste and fry until the mix is aromatic.
  5. Add meat and cook until rare.
  6. Add bell peppers, fish sauce, and sugar. Simmer.
  7. Remove from heat, top with 3 tbsp coconut milk, peanuts, and chili peppers.
  8. Mix the above and serve with freshly steamed Jasmine rice.
